Michael Rosborg Germer
Michael was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and began playing the violin when he was 4 at The Suzuki Institut in Copenhagen with Tove Detreköy. In 2013 he won 1st Prize in the Jacob Gade Violin Competition and was also awarded the Talent Prize. In 2015 he won gold medal in The Berlingske Music Competition. He is now a student of Serguei Azizian, Professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Music. Besides violin playing he likes to play chess.
“Most of all the spirit of the competition seems so inspiring. I really think it’s a great concept and I look forward to all of it; I look forward to playing and to listening to the other violinists at my age and to get to know them. Something very special will be the masterclasses with members of the jury, which will turn the competition into a lot more than a competition, it will become a whole Music Festival.” (Michael Rosborg Germer)
