“I have known about the Menuhin Competition since the competition held in 2012. I heard recordings of the participants and was amazed by their level of technique and musicality, and I remember wishing I could reach that level someday. I was shocked when I realized that I had been given the opportunity to play in the very competition that was an inspiration for me since I was younger. I am beyond excited to meet other young people who share with me a love for music and also to play for some of the greatest violinists in the world.” (Olivia Chen)
