Menuhin Competition London 2016 Press Review

We are pleased that the London 2016 Competition received attention from national, international and local press.

On the eve of the Opening Concert our competitors performed live on The One Show, and the next day some of them took part in a lovely media call on the London Eye, which was covered, amongst others, by the Times. The National Youth Orchestra concert at the Royal Festival Hall on 8 April received some enthusiastic reviews: The Guardian, Classical Source and others commended Menuhin Competition laureate Chad Hoopes’s performance.

The Family Concert narrated by Nicholas Parsons and held at the Royal Festival Hall on 16 April was featured in the Daily Mail and in The Guardian, amongst other media channels.

The finals and winners announcements were covered by The Guardian, The Times, BBC News, Strings Magazine, CCTV, Classic FM and many others.

Just before the finals we also got a lovely article on BBC Arts, which gives a wider overview on the Competition as a whole.

We are delighted to have received such extensive coverage – thank you to all involved in the Menuhin Competition London 2016. Looking forward to Geneva 2018!
