Prizewinners take part in the Gstaad Menuhin Festival
Several Menuhin Competition laureates will be performing at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival this summer, and the winner of the London 2016 Junior 1st Prize Yesong Sophie Lee will be participating in the Gstaad Strings Academy.
Ziyu He, winner of the Menuhin Competition London 2016 Senior 1st Prize, will be returning to the Gstaad Menuhin Festival to give a recital on 15th July, performing works by Mozart, Brahms and Sarasate. Ziyu visited Gstaad last year to perform Bach’s Violin Concerto with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra as part of a recreation of Yehudi Menuhin’s “B-B-B” concert in 1929, at which he performed concerti by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.
On 22nd July In Mo Yang, winner of the Senior 2nd Prize at the Menuhin Competition Austin 2014, will perform a recital of works by Ravel and Beethoven.
Finally, following her participation in the Gstaad Strings Academy Yesong Sophie Lee, winner of the London 2016 Junior 1st Prize, will give a recital of Beethoven, Debussy and Wieniawski on 5th August. Toi toi toi to all!
