02 July – Menuhin Competition alumni take violin competitions by storm!

We’re absolutely thrilled to see our alumni doing so wonderfully well in the recent Queen Elizabeth Competition, the Michael Hill International Violin Competition and the International Tchaikovsky Competition!

Ji Young Lim was awarded 1st Prize in the Queen Elisabeth Competition, with William Hagen being awarded 3rd Prize and Stephen Waarts being awarded 5th Prize as well as both prizes awarded by the public, the VRT-Prize and the Musiq’3 Prize of the RTBF. Read all about it here.

In the Michael Hill International Violin Competition Suyeon Kang was awarded the 1st Prize and Timothy Chooi was awarded the 3rd Prize. For further details click here.

Most recently, just yesterday Yu-Chien “Benny” Tseng has been awarded the top prize in the violin category of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition. For further details click here.
