17 March – James Chau announced as Trustee and Young Global Leader
We are delighted to announce that JAMES CHAU will be joining the Board of Trustees of the Menuhin Competition, and we congratulate him on the announcement today, for being selected to become one of the Young Global Leaders (YGLs) of the World Economic Forum – leaders under 40 who are shaping the future of industry and society.
JAMES CHAU who is a broadcaster, activist, writer and UN Goodwill Ambassador says: “Yehudi Menuhin was the original prodigy. As a violinist, conductor, and humanist, who during and after the Second World War worked towards reconciliation, his music brought the world together. I am deeply humbled to be appointed a Trustee to the Menuhin Competition. For decades, it has served as the premier platform for the finest young violinists, and in so doing has given the world first notice of some of the greatest musical talents.”
