Ariel Horowitz is winner of top prizes at the Stulberg and Irving M Klein International String competitions, as well as The Juilliard School’s Violin Concerto Competition. She is a student of Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho at The Juilliard School as a recipient of the Dorothy DeLay Scholarship. Solo appearances include performances with international orchestras as well as recitals in the US, Italy, France, Israel, Brazil, and Argentina. In the 2012 Menuhin Competition she featured in the Final Gala Concert, receiving the Morningside Music Bridge Young Artist Award. She has featured twice on National Public Radio’s “From The Top”. Outside of music she makes abstract paintings, practices yoga, and enjoys her family, friends, two dogs and chocolate.
