January 2015 – Prize Winners perform at World Economic Forum in Davos
Two Junior Prize winners of the Menuhin Competition Austin 2014 are delighted to be invited to perform a recital at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland.
On Thursday 22 January 2015, 13 year old Daniel Lozakovitj from Sweden and 15 year old Ludvig Gudim from Norway, accompanied by our Artistic Director, Gordon Back, will be performing at the World Food Programme “World Leaders” event, hosted by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. They will perform works including Saint-Saëns Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, plus music by Mozart and Kreisler.
The invitation to the event came from Robert F. Smith Founder, Chairman, CEO of Vista Equity Partners and a major sponsor of the Menuhin Competition Austin 2014. He says: “Vista Equity Partners is thrilled to bring the talent of young Menuhin violinists to the World Economic Forum in Davos, and there is no better place than the World Food Programme dinner to showcase the bright stars of the future.”
