“Being able to have the honour to attend the Menuhin Competition means a very valuable learning opportunity presented to me. Being a very ambitious student, I am always open to new perspectives on crafting my art. It also means a chance for me to show to a more diverse audience that music can be portrayed in different ways, and is truly universal. I’ve have seen numerous outstanding violinists attend this competition since I was a child and it resonated within me that I also wanted to stand on the stages many masters have played on. I believe that this event will help me grow immensely as a person, a student, and a musician.” (Qing Yu Chen)
