Applications have opened for the Richmond 2020 Menuhin Competition!

We are delighted to announce that applications have opened today for the Richmond 2020 Menuhin Competition! The event will take place from 14th-24th May 2020, in Richmond, Virginia (USA).

The Menuhin Competition is open to violinists of any nationality under the age of 22. Junior candidates must be under 16 years of age and Senior candidates under 22 years of age on May 24, 2020, and violinists aged 15 on May 14, 2020 may also enter the Senior Section.

The deadline for applications is October 31, 2019 at 12 noon GMT. Full details of the rules and repertoire can be found online here.

We are pleased to announce that our international jury panel of the Menuhin Competition Richmond 2020 will be composed of Pamela Frank (Chair, USA), Joji Hattori (Vice Chair, Japan/Austria), Noah Bendix-Balgley (USA/Germany), Ray Chen (Australia), Aaron Dworkin (USA), Ning Feng (China), Ralph Kirshbaum (USA), Anton Nel (South Africa/USA) and Soyoung Yoon (South Korea/Switzerland).

A unique aspect of the Menuhin Competition is that jurors will perform and give masterclasses to competitors.
